When Intelligence Leaks Don't Matter, and Trump's Hypocritical Speech To FBI Grads

Good Day World!

Let's see now.

Who has been whining about intelligence leaks since January?

Stumped? The answer is Trump.

Check this out...

The Justice Department said on Thursday that the release of text messages between two former investigators in the federal probe into Russian election meddling, in which President Trump was referred to as an "idiot," was not authorized.

Not authorized. I think that's simple enough. A leak.

But did Trump get upset about the leak? Actually he never said a thing about it. At least not in public. In private, he was probably doing his happy dance. A new diversion!

His trolls in Congress made a big deal of releasing the transcripts to the press hours before the House Judiciary Committee hearing (despite having been unlawfully leaked) where they grilled Deputy Attorney General, Rod Rosenstein, on them.

No one brought up the fact that the transcripts were illegally taken. Yet, every Republican on the committee waved them like a holy relic.

On Friday, Trump gave a speech at the FBI Academy Graduation ceremony, but not before slamming the whole department and promising to "re-make" it great again in a brief press conference outside the White House.

He said the FBI was in tatters (again) and that it was sad what's happened to it.

I think he thought he was at a Police Academy graduation. If in his last sentence he hadn't said FBI...anyone watching would have surely thought it was about cops, not FBI Agents.
The pure hypocrisy surely wasn't lost on the graduates who must have been wondering if they'd be a part of a process to prosecute Trump of obstruction of justice someday.

What A Crazy Week! It's TGIF - Are You Ready To Party?

Good Day World!

Can you say TGIF?

Has this last week's news events left you exhausted?

Has there been enough drama for you? Kick back and enjoy this weekend.

It's been a crazy week.

7 quick examples:

1. Omarosa Manigault Newman suddenly left her White House job under a cloud yesterday.
She told the press that she observed things in the White House that made her uncomfortable(?) and that upset her. Stay tuned.

2. Trump backs pedophile in Alabama special election...and Moore the molester loses, and isn't going to the senate. His democratic opponent Doug Jones, is however.

3. Senate Judiciary Committee: Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein offered a strong defense of Robert Mueller's appointment and actions as special counsel Wednesday and further praised the FBI, even as the bureau has been criticized by President Donald Trump in recent weeks.
Republicans called for a second special counsel to investigate Mueller's team.

4. Kentucky state Rep. Dan Johnson took his own life on Wednesday afternoon after being publicly accused of molesting a teen girl, according to ABC affiliate WHAS in Louisville.

5. Three women who were sexually harassed by Trump went on the Today Show and told their stories. Afterwards, they went to the press and called for a Congressional Ethics Investigation.
Trump called them liars. Then he attacked Sen. Gillibrand who also called for an investigation, or for him to resign.

6. Republicans are pushing ahead with a tax reform bill that still isn't complete, or has been rated by bi-partisan finance committee. They hope to hand it to Trump as a Christmas present for him, and the wealthy in this country.

7. Net Neutrality - Millions of comments submitted to the Federal Communications Commission as it sought public feedback on the agency's plan to roll back "net neutrality" rules were fake, New York prosecutors claim.

The state's attorney general, Eric Schneiderman, said Wednesday his office's investigation found that 2 million of the comments stole the identities of real Americans.

But FCC ignores claims and votes to repeal net neutrality protections Thursday. Stay tuned.

These random samples of news this week are only highlights of what's going down in our world today.
That's become the norm in the Trump era.

Trumpies Want Their Own Special Counsel To Interfer With Russian/Trump Investigation

Good Day World!

I watched Republicans trying to interfere with special counsel Robert Mueller's Russian/Trump collusion investigation yesterday.

It was like watching a bunch of seals barking to get attention.

The grilling of Rod Rosenstein by Trump minions in the House Judiciary Committee showed how far they're willing to go to divert attention away from their master's love affair with Russia.

The height of absurdity came when the Trumpies called for a second investigation to go after Mueller and his team.

I couldn't believe their gall...and outright devotion to a man who treats women like objects to play with, and who can't go a day without lying at least five times! (See NY Times article)

Everyone of those inquiring Republicans, aka Trump Toads, have turned their back on the real Republican Party to dance with the devil.

They repeatedly badgered Rosenstein with the same false accusations and conspiracy theories. I have to hand it to Rosenstein, he stood up pretty damn well.

The Trumpies leveled thinly veiled threats against Rosenstein, even indicating they would forge ahead and appoint their own special counsel if they don't like the IG's report on the member of Mueller's team whose been accused of showing unfair bias.

In summary, it was a group of desperate Donny minions doing their best to turn attention away from the Russian/Trump connection investigation.

Trump vs Women: A Lifelong Assault Against Females

Good Day World!

Trump has never respected women.

His own mother pondered what she did wrong in bearing such a misogynistic son.

Trump married his first wife, Czech model Ivana Zelníčková in 1977. They had three children.

After cheating on her with actress Marla Maples, Trump divorced her and married Maples. They had one child.

Then he cheated on her - like the previous marriage his cheating was widely covered by the media - with Melania Knauss.

After divorcing Maples, Trump married Melania and they had a child.

But Trump's interest in harassing women in the workplace and in public never ceased. The following link is a quick example:

Donald Trump and Billy Bush recording and Donald Trump sexual misconduct allegations

Last year, audio emerged from the long-running Howard Stern radio show, where Trump can be heard over the years discussing his daughter Ivanka’s “voluptuous” curves, his promiscuous sex life, and his lewd behavior during his ownership of the Miss Universe pageant.

The recordings, first uncovered by CNN, span 17 years of appearances by Trump on Stern’s show, where the two frequently engaged in sexually explicit conversation.

Last week, three of the women Trump sexually harassed appeared on The Today Show and followed that up with a press conference calling for Congress to investigate their claims.

Two days ago, another woman stepped forward, Melinda McGillivray, and said Trump groped her in 2003. She also demanded an investigation by an Ethics Committee.

You'd think at this point in time, the #MeToo women's movement would generate enough interest to finally hold Trump accountable.

Despite his claim that because the American people elected him they gave him a free pass on his past treatment of women...he's dead wrong.

His rise to power came from tribalism (I've said this before) not because people thought he was honest, and always treated women with respect.

That was apparent after last year's election during the exit polls. They showed that over 70 percent of Americans didn't think he was trustworthy ,or had the right temperament to lead the country.

But those die-hard conservative voters didn't allow anything to deter them from supporting Trump. They hated Hillary Clinton that much, and Trump promised many things that appealed to the fringe elements in our country.

These same die-hard supporters will continue to believe anything Trump tells them - regardless of reality, or the truth.

So, it's up to the rest of the country to lean on our spineless representatives in Congress to hold Trump to account for his lifelong assault against females.

'Tis The Season Where The GOP Loses All Morality

Good Day World!

Before this day is over, Republicans will lose a seat in the senate, or will bring a child-molester to Congress (which has threatened to have an ethics committee look into the allegations against him the moment he's seated).

Either way, Republicans are going to pay the piper.

The bad news for the GOP is it doesn't end there. 'Tis the season to go after men who've sexual assaulted women, and got away with it until now.

And we all know what that means! Time to trot out Donny Little Hands accusers who are still looking for justice. I watched three of his accusers tell their stories on the Today Show.

When these brave women went from the Today Show to the media demanding a Congressional ethics investigation, I was delighted to see the subject resurface.

That's because the American people didn't give Trump a pass (as the White House claims) on the sexual harassment charges.

Sarah Sanders Says 2016 Election Ended The Debate About Trump's Treatment of Women. Not exactly.

What happened was an acute case of tribalism where Republicans held their noses and voted for Chump...in spite of his history of disrespecting women.

Now it's time for Donny to pay the piper. These women aren't just going to sit back and continue to be humiliated by our Liar-In-Chief.

I'm waiting to see what if the Summer Dervos defamation lawsuit is going to go forward. When Chump called her (and the other women) a liar she pushed back, and is now waiting for her day in court.

May it come soon.

If the judge allows her case to go forward (possibly opening the way for others to get aboard) Chump's credibility will take another blow.

By backing a child molester, Lump has shown where his sympathies lie...and it's not with the victims. He sees a kindred spirit  in Moore the molester.

The bottom line is regardless of what happens in today's special election in Alabama, Republicans are in a no-win situation.

Misplaced Loyalty: GOP Party Taking The Low Road

Good Day World!

Tomorrows special election in Alabama is a crossroad for Republicans - either they cede all morality and justice for women being sexually harassed, or they vote for Roy Moore.

Despicable as it may seem, party over anything else, the GOP has chosen to walk in lock-step with Trump and forego any attempt at showing they have a conscience or sense of morality.

Because Trump has been getting away with dismantling the government with the help of his appointed corrupt cabinet, the GOP sees him as they're only hope.

Trump demands, and gets loyalty from his minions. When someone resists kissing his ass, like ex-FBI Director, James Comey for instance, he gets rid of them.

The GOP state party in Alabama (perhaps encouraged by Trump) has "loyalty rules" that bars its members from publicly backing Moore's opponent. No matter how they feel.

If they do, they can be barred from ever running as a Republican again.

The whole problem here is misplaced loyalty.

It starts at the top when Congress allows itself to be bullied by Trump, in the vain hope some of their agendas might be passed.

When people voted for Trump, it was out of misplaced loyalty.

They didn't care if he sexually harassed women most of his life - and bragged about it. He was a Republican, and that's all that mattered.

Voting for Trump was a watershed moment that steered America away from the high road, and down into the abyss of racial conflict, corporate corruption, and the 1 percent of wealthy Americans ruling the country.

When Alabama holds its election tomorrow, we'll see how far gone the GOP party is.

Either they reject a molester of underage girls, or they send him to Congress.

21st Century Blues: It Isn't Such a Wonderful World After All

Good Day World!

When Jazz icon, Louis Armstrong, recorded the single hit, "What A Wonderful World" in 1967, there were millions of Americans who agreed with him.

But society goes in cycles, and now in the 21st Century most Americans don't think it's such a wonderful world after all.

A new report released by the American Psychological Association (APA) reveals that 57% of Americans say the current political climate is a “very” or “somewhat” significant source of their stress, and close to half of Americans say the outcome of last year's election causes them stress.

Here's APA’s annual Stress in America study.

8 Reasons for Depression

1. Toxic food: Poisoning your brain so it cannot function properly

2. Heavy metal toxicity: The silent saboteur

3. Lack of nature: Avoiding what grounds your body

4. Psychological attachments: Unwittingly seeking old, familiar misery again and again

5. Consumerism: Desiring stuff that makes you feel empty

6. Lack of exercise: Willingness to feel lethargic

7. Ignorance about feelings: Trapping negative emotions in your body

8. It's a diagnosis: Promoting depression

To drill deeper on these categories go here.

Experts point out that the bottom line with depression may be how hard it is to shake off.

People can make lists of the things they know they can do to feel better, but seldom follow up on them.

Sometimes, people can be their own worst enemy.
