Hello, I have a friend who says the President did 'something' within the health care reform law that now foreces her husband to pay money into his health care for his children. My friend states prior, as a disabled vet he did not have to pay a montly fee and now he does. Did the health care reform law cause Vet benifits to change, or is this due to financial circumstances within the VA. I'm writing to find out if this is true. I see you have researched this before
Yes, I have researched Obamacare (new healthcare law) and the military veteran benefits are not affected by it.
Only changes within the VA itself can happen. The VA has been cost-cutting and slashing services recently. I advise calling the Veterans Resource Center in Eureka, or if your not from around here call a local veteran organization and ask them about recent changes in VA benefits. I suspect they have a new manual out on then, but I could be wrong.
I hope this helps.
thanks for stopping by.
