Anti-Trump Sentiment: Will Protesters Fall Victim to 'Resistance Fatigue?'

Lately I'be been blogging about how nice it is to see Americans unifying in their opposition to the Trump regime.

Seems like there's been protests since Day One of Potato-Face's inauguration. 

That's because there has been.

The most recent was a nationwide protest called "Day Without An Immigrant." 

It was followed by a "General Strike" in over 100 cities nationwide. Chump's Florida campaign rally two weeks ago was met by protesters.

Thousands marched at a Muslim solidarity rally in New York. 

On President's Day - protester's nationwide held "Not My President" rallies.

More protests are coming down the line. Count on it. But there's also a backlash to all of these protests.

It's called "Resistance fatigue."

It's trendiness can be credited to Google engine Yonatan Zunger, who surmised in a January Medium essay that tiring Americans out was the motivation behind Trump's nonstop battery of executive orders.

I'm not sure I totally agree with Zunger, but it's something I wouldn't put paste our pasty-faced illegitimate president.

As far as I can see there's not going to be an end to the protests until Chump is impeached. If he manages to stay for his full term I'll be really surprised.

One way or the other chaos will continue in our country until Dump is gone. 

The question is how long will the resistance to his corrupt regime last before burn-out takes its toll?

I'll Take a Blundering Clown Over A Mean Kid Who Constantly Lies

This is scary.

I watched an interview with former president George W. Bush on the Today Show yesterday, and was stunned to see how normal he is in comparison to Trump.

When Bush said that the power of the presidency can be addictive, and that an independent media is necessary to keep things in check, I almost couldn't believe what I was hearing. 

My memories of Bush involve a clown blundering his way through his last term. He left office as one of the most reviled presidents in our history at that point.

In a case of you ain't seen nothing yet, Chump is making Bush look pretty good. I can't believe I just said that!

One thing you can say about Bush is he isn't an egomaniac like Lump. He also genuinely cares about veterans. Maybe it's out of guilt for leading us into a war that should never have happened.

Bush talked about his new book which features paintings he did of each individual veteran who was profiled. In contrast to Trump's "it's all about me" attitude, Bush's book features people who served their country.

The difference between the two men is one is a blundering clown (Bush), and the other is a very mean kid who never grew up (Rump) and can't stop telling lies.

Did Bush lie while in office? Hell yes, he did! 

Just not every day Like Dump. Politifact has followed Hump's presidency and reports there hasn't been a day since he's been in office where he hasn't told a lie.

I doubt if there's every been a politician who hasn't lied about something. Don-the-Con however has made an art out of it. No one can look you in the eye and lie like him.

Bush's evil sidekick was Cheney. Chump's is Steve Bannon who makes Cheney look like a Nobel Prize nominee.

I never had the feeling Bush purposely wanted to cripple our society with an illegal war. He was heavily influenced by Cheney and his cronies. Unlike Donny-Little-Hand who has plenty of advisers that he mostly ignores. 

Bad boy Bannon would be the exception. He's another angry kid trapped in a man's body.

I've little doubt that history will treat Bush better than Dump. I'm not absolving Bush for his crimes, but I never had the feeling he purposely wanted to create chaos and promote racism.

Like Trump.

America, and the rest of the world, is watching with concern as Lump attacks the Republic, minorities, and anyone who tries to stand in his way with facts and laws.

Our first illegitimate president is like a kid who can't wait to blow out the candles of his birthday cake and plunges into it face first with squeals of glee.

It's just a matter of time before responsible adults send Little Donny on his way and fumigate the White House.

Still hankering for another awards ceremony after watching the 59th Grammy's?

Gotta love that Adele and her song "Hello."

Maybe you watched The Academy Awards yesterday and watched Casey Affleck get Best Actor, and Emma Stone get Best Actress. 

But you still want more.

So, I've come up with a new awards ceremony that will only be popular for about four years. It's going to be a night of entertainment and awards unlike anything you've ever seen before.

Yes. It's going to be yuge.

1st Man: "I'm a bit surprised that White House Chief-of-Staff Reince Priebus got Chief Ass-Licker. I would have thought White House spokesman Sean Spicer had it tongues down!

2nd Man: "I sure wasn't surprised to see President Trump win the Top Liar award. He's been an inspiration to us all."

Trump: Looking For Love In The Wrong Place

By now America knows that it's president is a thin-skinned liar, and egomaniac.

Donny Little-Hands can't stop praising himself by distorting facts and coming up with alternative facts.

His latest Saturday tweet (it's one of his favorite days to make bigly tweets!) is the most recent example.

Chump lashed out out the media for not singing his praises for reducing the National Debt in his first month.

He claimed that during his first month in office the National Debt went down by $12 billion vs a $200 billion increase in Obama's first month. 

Sad. And of course it was a ridiculous comparison in the first place.

Obama walked into the biggest financial crisis since the Great Depression and had to bail the country out. He did what presidents before him have done and took on debt to stimulate the economy.

As we all know, it worked. Trump inherited a vibrant economy. Instead of recognizing this fact, Rump convinced himself (with no evidence) that his administration was doing great.

There's one more thing Lump doesn't seem to know:
The debt probably ticked down, but it's due to the federal government re-balancing its inner-governmental holdings.

In other words, debt outstanding to the public has barely budged since inauguration day. 

In addition:

Business Insider reported that the federal government is still operating under the budget passed before Don-the-Con came aboard.

To summarize, our first illegitimate president is: 

1. Tying to take credit for something he didn't do.

2. Making false claims based on pure bullshit.

3. So dumb that he thinks no one will fact check him.

4. So vain that he doesn't care because he likes people to talk about him. 

What Hump doesn't realize is when he's caught lying (a daily experience) most Americans aren't okay with that. 

By trying to force feed his reality on the public Chump is looking for love in the wrong place. 

His only alternative is too hold campaign rallies for 2020 so he can get that love from his Hard Core followers.

Annual Conservative Freak Show Unveils a New Political Order - Trumpism

Our first illegitimate president, Donny Little-Hands, refused to go to last year's meeting of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) - also known as the annual conservative freak show - but this year he was one of it's star attractions.

Going forward the conference may be re-named (the White Light Party) if presidential adviser "Darth" Bannon has anything to say about it (you can bet he will). 

Bannon (in his first public appearance) bragged that under Chump there was now a new political order. He predicted "Trumpism" would overtake the conservative movement and fundamentally change the country.

As Bannon threw out red meat to the salivating audience he described what was happening under Rump's regime as the "deconstruction of the administrative state."

In other words, Democracy is being destroyed in favor of a new fascist regime that favors whites and the wealthy. 

The purge of people with color has already started. It was stopped by a federal court after 48 hours of chaos. The next ban is coming soon.

There was an interesting sidelight to the freak show that didn't get a lot of press. Only one senator, I'll kiss anyone's ass -Ted Cruz, attended the gala event.

In past conferences, members of Congress fought to be invited to it. They often ended up being the stars of the show. But their collective no-show this time revealed just how large the split is between real conservatives and Trump's followers.

Conservatives and Trumpsters are already on a collision course. Their uneasy alliance is based upon the conservatives fear of retaliation if they dare to defy the new political order.

Why Trump Is Already Campaigning for 2020

It's a case of putting the horse before the cart. Counting your eggs before they're hatched. Celebrating before the race is finished. 

The day Trump took the oath of office he filed to run for the presidency in 2020. In case you're wondering, no other president in our history had that much gall and ego.

Not to mention that the chances of completing his first full term without getting impeached are iffy. Oddsmakers have it at about 10/11.

When I first found out about Donny Little-Hands bid for a second term I was so surprised that I didn't know what to make of it.

That's changed however. I figured out why he did that. Yes, only I have the answer! Snark...snark.

After watching his first campaign rally in Florida last week everything became clear. The Lord of Narcissists need a group hug from his core because things have been rough for him thus far.

He knew he could count on his rabid followers for a good ego stroking.

It hasn't been easy for Chump finding out that he can't just bully his way through things like he did with his business empire.

In the first place everyone keeps calling him a liar. Then there's all those pesky laws based upon the Constitution. Frustration at not successfully pulling off an immigrant ban only made it worse.

So Dump called the mainstream news fake and created his own reality. He had a rally in Florida. 

Adoring followers lined up in the thousands to hear him revile the nation's free press and talk about his "yuge" election victory. Despite the fact that it was a month ago.

None of them were concerned about his actions in his first 30 days. As a matter of fact they all thought he was doing great.

I watched reporters talking to people in line to see Lump, and had to smack my forehead repeatedly! It was like listening to starry-eyed cult followers.

Reality has no part in their daily existence. They believe that only Rump tells them the truth and the rest of the world is lying. 

I predict that every few weeks, or so, Chump will hold a rally when reality closes in on him and he feels it's pressure. 

Look for a lot of rallies in the future.

Theodore Roosevelt and Trump: 2 'Yuge' Egos With Alternative Press Backers

The majority of Americans realize Trump tells lies. 

Often really "bigly" lies that leave people gasping with astonishment at his departure from facts.

Not too many people are aware of what a liar and racist President Theodore Roosevelt was. Don the Con, aka Liar-In-Chief, merely continues Teddy's tradition. 

Most people associate Roosevelt with wearing funny round-rimmed glasses and charging up San Juan Hill with his Rough Riders in a blaze of glory.

A hero. 

Sorry. But that story kids read about in school history books about "Teddy" riding up the hill with his Rough Riders and winning the day is a blatant lie.

One worthy of Trump.

In summary, Teddy had a group of "newsmen" (alternative press) who followed him around like adoring fans/followers. They staged photos and wrote fictional accounts about Teddy's bravery.

Roosevelt was a con man, like Trump, who knew how to market his brand. Fox News is the latest in a line of alternative news that has been around us since the birth of the Republic.

The whole Fourth Estate is mainly mainstream news, but we have to recognize false news has also been part of our history.

Trump is desperately trying to do his best Teddy imitation but instead of charging up a hill and winning, he's been retreating down the hill trying to fend off a pissed-off American public.

Did Putin Offer Trump a Bribe To Lift Sanctions When He Was Elected?

There's been so much written about Trump's illegal activities that I'm afraid people are just becoming numb to them.

There was a story by Reuters last week that didn't get much press here in the U.S. They reported (in great detail) how 19.5% of Rosneft, Russia's state oil company, has been sold to parties unknown.

This was done, according to Reuters, through a dizzying array of shell companies, so that the most that can be said with certainty now is that the money "paying" for it was originally loaned out to the shell layers by VTB (Russia's official bank), even though it's highly unclear who, if anyone, would be paying that loan back; and the recipients have been traced as far as some Cayman Islands shell companies. 

Here's the kicker...
Do you remember the much-maligned Steele Dossier, the one with the golden showers in it? 

It also included a statement that Putin had offered Trump 19% of Rosneft if he became president and removed sanctions.

It get's better, or worse, depending on how you look at it:

The dossier said this in July, and the sale didn't happen until early December. And 19.5% sounds an awful lot like a "19% plus a brokerage commission."

When the free press manages to get a break from Chump's daily antics I sure would like to see this story explored further.

I have a hunch that dossier is packed with facts Dump and his cronies don't want revealed, and that's another reason why he's calling out the media and claiming the stories about him are all fake.

Perhaps we'll find out someday.

Flashback to the 1960's-70s: Americans Stand Up To A Corrupt Administration

I got cold chills yesterday watching the live updates of "Not My President" day rallies across America...on our President's Day Holiday!

Memories of the 60's and early 70's ran like an old black-and- white newsreel through my head as I watched millions of Americans unify nationwide to defy a corrupt administration that pulled us into an illegitimate war. 

Now America is faced with an illegitimate president, who with the help of Russia, stole the 2016 election.

He's not my president. 

Surprisingly, there's a real upside to Trump defiling the Oval Office right now. He said he'd unite America. Well, he is. Look at how this country has responded to his first 30 days in office.

If liberals and independents ever needed a "pearl harbor" event to unify America against Chump's presidency it was his illegal roll-out of an immigrant ban against Muslim based countries. 

The courts slapped him down quickly. 
The majority of Americans reacted with alarm at how much chaos was created in the country (even worldwide) in a mere 24 hours.

And that wasn't even the first time Lump violated the constitution since being elected.

The fact that he maintains control of his far-flung business empire while posing as a president, is in direct violation of the Constitution.

It's all about "emoluments," a word once foreign to most people, but now bandied about in the mainstream and social media daily.

There's 49 words in Article I of the Constitution that explains what emoluments are: 

“No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.”

In layman's terms, Chump shouldn't be getting paid by foreign governments to stay at his hotels. He shouldn't have millions of dollars in debt to countries like China and Germany.

He shouldn't be making money worldwide as the president of the United States. It's all an obvious conflict of interest and is slowly winding it's way through investigative committees. 

I'm not worried. It's apparent that the majority of Americans do still want a free democracy, despite the authoritarian Orange Zero's efforts to destroy it.

It's a good time to place your bets with Ladbrokes (a UK betting house) right now - I hear the odds are 10/11 that Dump won't last a full term before being impeached.

Trump's Cracking Under Pressure: Supposed A-Team Gets an F

I can still hear Republicans during the election admitting that Trump wasn't the the best guy for the job, but it didn't matter because he would assemble an A-Team that would have made Col. John "Hannibal" Smith (played by George Peppard) proud.  

Remember Hannibal? It's been 34 years since the original "A-Team" debuted on NBC.

The much hoped for A-Team that Trump gathered around himself turned out to be a B-Team. Actually, more like a Z-Team. 

It couldn't have turned out worse. Republicans hoped Chump would gather the best-of-the-best political conservative operatives and staff his cabinet with them.

They reasoned that with all that experience Lump would be propped even though they knew he was an orange clown prone to lying daily on twitter.

It never occurred to these same Republicans that Frump didn't know any politically experienced people. He bribed plenty of politicians, but that doesn't count.  

Lump did what came natural to him; he appointed his billionaire pals to positions of power. He also threw in some white Supremacists for good measure.

We all know that now.

In the course of 30 days, Bump has thrown the country into chaos. Whispers of impeachment are drifting through the halls of power where information leaks are driving Chump crazy right now.

It's only a matter of time before the orange vulgarian cracks. He's never been called out for lying so much in his life! He can't fire two-thirds of the American population.

Frump's current attacks on the free press - calling it the enemy of the people - is even shocking those Republicans who backed him. 

They're seeing what the rest of the country already knew - Trump is the biggest challenge to democracy and liberty in our history.

Trump's Task Force on Extremism Only Targets Muslims, Ignors White Supremacists and Other Homegrown Terrorists

Violent extremism has always been a thorn in the side of governments worldwide.

America's battle with extremism in the 21st century has taken on worldwide implications. 

Since the attack on 9-11, Americans have been willing to give up some of their freedoms to suppress extremism. But not all of our freedoms.

President Bush and President Obama formed task forces to fight terrorism, both homegrown and foreign. 
One of Obama's anti-terrorism programs was just called "Countering Violent Extremism" with no reference to Islam.

The reasoning for not singling out Islam was simple; Obama didn't want to ostracize any world religion because some of their believers turned violent for political reasons.

He knew that terrorists could also be Christian, Jewish, Catholics, or even Evangelical extremists. It was just common sense.

Under Trump's regime common sense has scurried to the corners of the White House and is studiously ignored.

Trump and cronies are changing the name of that task force to "Countering Islamic Extremism."

Quick example: Trump, or more likely chief puppet Bannon, came up with a list of terrorists incidents for the press and guess what? 

They were only Muslims involved with no mention of White Supremacist attacks. Why do you think that was?

That list of terrorist attacks was handed over to the press after Trumpanzee Spicer claimed the media didn't even cover them. That, of course, was a bald-faced lie.

That lie was quickly exposed:

There's no doubt Trump will come up with more task forces that will be thinly disguised attacks on minorities in this nation and abroad.

It's up to the main stream press and independent bloggers like myself to investigate and expose Trump's nefarious attacks on our freedom.

The key word to what's happening in Washington is: RESIST.
