Do you remember when you were in school and every school yard had a bully? Or two.
The bully was impervious to rules and any criticism directed against him prompted the childish comeback, "I'm rubber and your glue. Anything you say bad about me, bounces off and sticks on you!"
Enter Trump Derangement Syndrome.
The term, as defined by Trump supporters, is used to describe critics whose reactions to him are characterized as irrational, obsessive, and disconnected from his actual policy positions.
The origin of the term dates back to 2016 when Trump followers used it to dismiss the extreme hostility toward Trump's political presence. Supporters use it to reframe the debate, suggesting that an opponent's hatred is so profound that it distorts their perception of his actions and successes.
In reality it's the opposite of what Trump Derangement Syndrome really is. The term better describes Trump's cult community that clings to conspiracies and lies like flies in a dung heap.
For example, Trump said the war with Iran was over yesterday. That he got all the concessions he asked for, and Iran agreed to give up their nuclear stash in a virtual tele-rally on Burt Jones Facebook Page.
The only problem with those claims is they are not true. Not even close to reality. Iran is making Trump look like a demented orangutan and the world and America are paying a steep economic price that comes when a deranged malicious narcissist has almost unlimited power.
Let's face it, there's nothing sane about a president who has been claiming the war with Iran was over after the first day and is still claiming it's over 104 days later.
Mental health professionals and psychologists have been warning the public that Trump is sick, both mentally and physically, since the first time he slithered into office in 2016. This time around Trump's conditions is even worse as evidenced by his latest trip to Walter Reed hospital where 22 health care professionals gathered to examine him.
Trump's intense political obsession, dread, and hypervigilance trigger genuine clinical symptoms like sleep disruption and anxiety according to health care professionals. We've seen Trump nodding during state visits to the White House and at the Knicks vs Spurs game where the arena rocked with boos when his face appeared on the jumbotron during the national anthem.
Cabinet meetings where Trump slumps in his chair barely conscious, continue in a theatre of the absurd where his flunkies praise him and pretend he doesn't look like a corpse with orange makeup.
Last month a Republican Congressman, Warren Davidson, introduced the Trump Derangement Syndrome Act (TDS) that would direct the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to study the psychological and social roots of the phenomenon.
With Trump appointed leaders in every institution the results of this faux study are going to conclude there's an epidemic on the Left and TDS has divided families and country, leading to nationwide violence - including assassination attempts against dear leader.
This baseless bill is full of lies about what NIH is currently funding. My favorite one was teaching monkeys to gamble for their drinking water. I couldn't help thinking about Trump's son Don Jr. who's invested in the gambling industry.
As it Stands, a safe guideline to go by is whatever Trump and is cult say, it's not the truth.
