After many views of the news recently, I've had an epiphany.
Americans have normalized chaos because it's a daily thing in Trump's second term. Sensational headlines and pod casts spew doomsday scenarios to millions of confused people looking for some sense of the normal in all of the wrong places.
On one hand chaos is entertaining. No matter how sinister and dark people still watch the whole video or read the whole story.
A good friend of mine pointed out that our attraction to the chaotic and crazy things got worse since Trump slimed his way into politics. Some are addicted to chaos. You know, the ones with red baseball caps with white letters proclaiming MAGA.
Just when we thought things couldn't get worse with Trump's war on Iran, we've discovered there's no plan to win the war, and the Iranians are turning the tables on Trump.
Reuters reported that Iran is threatening to escalate tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and beyond and launch an attack if the U.S. fails to implement an interim peace deal in a matter of weeks.
You read that right. Iran is threatening the U.S.! How did it come to this? Trump has been claiming he won the war since he started it in February. Meanwhile the Strait of Hormuz has been blockaded by the Iranians and their allies, regardless of the false claims of being open by Trump.
Chaos. And this was just one example of how chaos came home and the economy is suffering from the effects of Trump's little excursion as the price of gas and everything else keeps going up.
On a daily basis Americans have to contend with Trump's private army, aka ICE, violating every law in the book and killing immigrants and American citizens while doing so.
The whole country is concerned about the upcoming midterm elections. Trump has already infused chaos into the system by touting voter suppression under the guise of fair elections. He's scared to death that if the Democrats take back Congress, they're going to go after his fat felon ass.
Every day Americans hear about Trump's Tweets and how off-the-wall they are using AI enhancements that show him in images like in a full army uniform with medals and flanked by Gen. Patton and Ike Eisenhower. He stays up most of the night and sends out hundreds of tweets with the help of his diaper nurse, Natalie Harp.
By now it's a given Trump is the worst president America has ever had. Just ask AI helpers like Chatgpt. The majority of Americans hate Trump and his authoritarian regime. Pick a poll. They'll all say the same thing.
As it Stands, those of us that are still sane hold out hope that there's going to be a better future ahead.
