No American President Has Ever Done What Trump is Attempting to Do this Time

Welcome back.

Today I'm going to discuss Trump's attempt to avoid being audited ever again by the IRS. His insane lawsuit also includes his family and companies never being audited again.

Wow!

What led to this MAGA-sized lawsuit? Trump's first step was to sue the IRS for $10 billion, alleging the IRS and the Treasury Department failed to safeguard his tax records after a former contractor, Charles Littlejohn, leaked his confidential tax returns to news outlets. Littlejohn also exposed nineteen thousand other Americans finances.

Check out the following sleight of hand. Acting Attorney General, and Trump's personal lawyer Todd Blanche, files the lawsuit then - within 24 hours - he tells reporters that the lawsuit was going to be settled out of court. Smooth, eh?

The real reason the original lawsuit was dropped was that it was unconstitutional. Even Trump acknowledged that it was unusual to be on both sides of a lawsuit.

Trump's second step in the corrupt settlement contains an unprecedented provision.

* Blanket Tax Immunity for past filings. The IRS is "forever barred and precluded" from pursuing, prosecuting, investigating, or prosecuting any outstanding or current claims, audits, or related reviews against Donald Trump, his family, his trusts, and his affiliated companies.

In May Mr. Smooth, Todd Blanche, announced that the Justice Department was setting up a $1.776 billion "Anti-Weaponization Fund" for Trumpies who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Then this happened.

On June 1st Blanche told lawmakers on the House Appropriations Committee that the Justice Department IS NOT moving forward with its $1.776 billion "anti-weaponization" fund because it became a major obstacle to the GOP agenda in Congress.

That claim immediately came under fire when Congressman Grace Meng asked Blanche to put his commitment in writing. "Why do I need to put something in writing if I'm telling you what we're doing?" Blanche said. The answer to that was no one trusts Blanche's word.

Blanche's testimony came a day after the Justice Department said it will stop work on the fund following a district judges' temporary decision to block the establishment of the program.

Despite these apparent setbacks don't think for a moment Trump is going to give up establishing a slush fund for his supporters that easy. He told reporters that the fund was a "beautiful" thing and we'll just have to see what happens.

Alert! That means further assaults against our democracy are still on the table.

As it Stands, what concerns me is that I don't think we've seen the depth of his depravity yet. Even this latest attempt to make taxpayers give criminals money doesn't mean we've seen the worst of him. With over two years to go we're sure to see other examples of how low he'll go.
