Dave, I can always count on you for being joyously and unapologetically macabre every now and then. Please don't ever stop! This story by turns made me laugh and feel really, really queasy. I don't know what I like more... The fact that the guy's wife is a nurse and yet he still let his toe fester, the fact that he passed out in a booze stupor before his Dr. visit, the fact that it's unknowable what might have been going through that dog's head as he gnawed off the toe... Yeah. That's the best part. Trying to imagine what the dog was thinking. Too, too funny!!
