Blog Shutdown: I'm Going Out Of Town

Good Day World!

As Donny and his lapdogs are quarrelling among themselves - and the Democrats - after shutting the government down, I'm going out of town.

I'm taking a vacation with my honey to California and Nevada.

We're planning on returning on February 1st. Hopefully the government will be functioning by then. I wouldn't bet on it, but you never know.

Good Job Donny! The Government Is Shut Down To Mark Your First Year In Office

Good Day World!

What a way to celebrate Trump's first year in office - a government shutdown.

I gotta hand it to him. It only took 12 months to bring our government to a screeching halt. He torpedoed the budget negotiations, and left Republicans baffled on what he wanted.

Today, Trump is making it clear that if he doesn't get his way the government is staying closed, despite compromising efforts by lawmakers trying to reopen the government this weekend.

None of us should be surprised. "Mr. Art of the Deal" is a fraud.

Making deals (like the crooked ones Trump's made with known mafia figures during his casino days) is the art of the bullying, which doesn't go down well with our Constitution.

Putting Trump in Washington has turned out badly for millions, and he's not done yet.

This government shutdown is not going to slow down Trump's racist agenda.

Now, it's up to the voters this midterm. If the Democrats take back Congress, Trump's racist agenda won't stand a chance.

Time for me to walk on down the road...

'Dollars For Donny' - FBI Looking At Putin Puppet Who Paid NRA Millions To Promote Trump

I have another interesting twist regarding the Trump/Russia investigations for you this morning.

After reading the Miami Herald yesterday, I was surprised to see another effort from Russia that supported Trump, along with all the rest we're already aware of.

I have to admit I was stunned to read about the coordination between the supposedly patriotic NRA, Russia, and the Trump campaign.

About The NRA

The NRA was originally formed by two union veterans who were dismayed at how bad a shot most of the Yankees were during the Civil War.

Within one year of forming the organization, the NRA built a rifle range. The goal was to make all Americans better shots. There was no political aspect to the organization back then.

After the passage of the Gun Control Act of 1968, the NRA became politically active. The group only represents less than a fifth of all American gun owners, yet it remains one of the most powerful gun rights lobbies in the United States.

What We Know From The Report

FBI counterintelligence investigators have focused on the activities of Alexander Torshin, the deputy governor of Russia’s central bank who is known for his close relationships with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and the NRA.

The news comes as Justice Department Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s sweeping investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 election, including whether the Kremlin colluded with Trump’s campaign, has been heating up.

McClatchy reported a year ago that a multi-agency U.S. law enforcement and counterintelligence investigation into Russia’s intervention, begun even before the start of the 2016 general election campaign, initially included a focus on whether the Kremlin secretly helped fund efforts to boost Trump, but little has been said about that possibility in recent months.

About Alexander Torshin

Torshin, a leading figure in Putin’s party, has been implicated in money laundering by judicial authorities in Spain, as Bloomberg News first revealed in 2016.

Torshin is known as the godfather in a major Russian criminal organization called Taganskaya.

Torshin, a lifetime NRA member, spoke to Donald Trump Jr. during a gala event at the group’s national gathering in Kentucky in May 2016, when his father won an earlier-than-usual NRA presidential endorsement.

As this story unfolds, expect to read more damning revelations supporting the coordination between Russia and Trump's campaign.
