After an electoral route for the ages Trump's sycophants are panicking at the thought that their fair game now. One of the first MAGA rats targeted for expulsion is Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
Armed with newly acquired subpoena power, incoming committee chairs like Rep. Robert Garcia (House Oversight) and Rep. Jamie Raskin (House Judiciary) have warned top regime figures to "lawyer up."
This morning GOP Rep. Thomas Massie is preparing to reintroduce an impeachment resolution on Monday or Tuesday against Hegseth. Apparently, he wants to get a parting shot at Trump who ruined his career.
Massie's impeachment effort stalled earlier this year when the Speaker of the House, MAGA Mike Johnson, canceled the remaining floor votes before the chamber broke for its midterm recess.
A sweeping oversight agenda is coming soon. The top targets are Trump, his family, high level administration officials, and major corporate sectors.
Representative Garcia has made it a point to note that a dedicated "bucket" of the House Oversight Committee's investigative resources will be directed toward fully exposing the Trump/Epstein files.
Along with millions of other Americans, I'm looking forward to these investigations. It's going to take time to fumigate all of the congressional corridors, but at least we all know it's actually going to happen.
Meanwhile we must not let these remaining days discourage us as the demented felon in the White House rages against the electoral results.
As it Stands, when the new 120th United States Congress takes charge on Jan. 3rd a new era will begin where accountability will be prioritized.
