A Blast from the Past! Jan. 12, 2022, Alternate Realty Rally

While I take a break from writing new content, I'm going to take the advice of a good friend who is an accomplished author and former writer for a daily newspaper, and re-run some of my old posts.

Trump has invited the who's-who of the far-right Big Lie promoters to a rally this Saturday and you just have to see it.

If you do go prepare to laugh your ass off because the lineup is better than a gaggle of demented comedians.  

Trump plays his usual maniac self. The event features a major QAnon supporter! Can you imagine? A full-fledged nutcase will set the table.

Sheep in red MAGA hats and sporting the latest in Trump attire, will descend upon the Arizona desert to cheer on Arizona State Sen. Mark Finchem, billed as the event's "special guest speaker."

He's special alright.

Trump has anointed him among other Republican challengers in the primary to see who the GOP's secretary of state candidate will be.

Finchem is an unabashed QAnon loonie who recently was a featured speaker at a QAnon conference in Las Vegas.

There's more entertainment.

The rally will also feature two of the most bad ass bitches in congress. That's right. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Lauren Boebert of Colorado.

You want to hear crazy? Those two females invented it. I don't know for sure, but they may pole dance with AR-15s. Just a rumor among the MAGA faithful mind you.

The fun doesn't end there, however.

Pillow Boy Mike Lindell will be there with reams of computer printouts proving Trump won the 2020 election.

Attendees can also expect to see Kelli Ward the Arizona chair for the GOP and ringleader of false audits signing autographs on allegedly missing ballots printed on rice paper.

Also expected to slither on stage is none other than batshit crazy, Rep. Paul Gosar, whose family hates him, but he doesn't care because he wants to be Trump's official ass wipe.

Gosar's fellow moron, Rep. Andy Biggs, will be hanging around backstage telling racist jokes while waiting to make an appearance alongside his master Trump. 

Finally, Kari Lake, a former Fox anchor who is running for governor, will challenge Boebert and Greene to compete in a screaming match.

Winner gets to go to Mar-a-Lago and dine on sumptuous McDonald's cheeseburgers while Trump recounts sexual episodes from his perverted past.

So, listen.

There's still plenty of time to change whatever plans you have this Saturday and head to Florence, Arizona for a day of guaranteed laughs and fun.

PTSD Anniversary: Time for a Blog Break

Mid-April, May and June are a bad time of year for me. 

My regular readers know that and excuse my annual absence. 

If your new to this blog I have PTSD related to my time as a combat veteran in Vietnam and Cambodia in 1970.

I learned a long time ago that my thoughts around this time of year are more convoluted, often driven by senseless anger, and it's just not the best time of year for me to write.

Trump's illegal war has my hackles up and I'm getting too many violent thoughts and flashbacks to my experiences in Southeast Asia. So, I'm going to keep my thoughts to myself rather than risk saying something that will bring the Trump cyber goons banging on my front door.

Judges Are Calling BS on the Trump Regime

The latest ruling against the Trump regime who filed a lawsuit against the state of Hawaii was kicked out of court yesterday.

The Trump goons in the DOJ were trying to stop a lawsuit against fossil fuel companies' impact of climate change on the state. A federal judge, Helen Gillmor, blocked the lawsuit because she said the DOJ had no standing.

In the ruling, Gillmor said that an "abstract, theoretical future harm" is not a valid basis for a lawsuit. The lawsuit didn't amount to any "concrete harm" that would allow an entity to sue Gillmor ruled.

The lawsuit was kicked out of court because the DOJ's theory of harm would require predicting claims brought against unknown companies, predicting the lawsuit would be successful; " guessing" that oil companies would react in a specific way, and then hypothesizing that the reaction would somehow harm the U.S. commerce and future energy policy. 

Here's some more recent cases where judges called bullshit on the Trump regimes pathetic attempts to twist justice into a knot with lies and exaggerations:

-  Rhode Island Voter Data Dismissal (April 2026): A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit from the DOJ that sought to force Rhode Island to turn over unredacted voter registration rolls.

- Illegal Use of Emergency Powers (April 2026): A California court ruled against the Trump administration for illegally invoking emergency powers to force the restart of the Sable Offshore Corp pipeline.

- Birthright Citizenship Executive Order Blocked (February 2026): U.S. District Judge Leo Sorokin issued a nationwide preliminary injunction blocking an executive order intended to end birthright citizenship for children of non-citizens. The ruling noted the order was likely unconstitutional.

Editor's Note: The Supreme Court has taken up the birthright issue. So far, the justices have shown skepticism about the Trump regime's arguments on birthright citizenships. The court has delayed making a decision thus far by first taking up the procedural question of universal injunctions.

In what was a first for an American president Trump attended the hearing hoping to somehow intimidate the justices. It didn't work. They didn't even acknowledge his presence.

- Tariffs and Trade Authority (February 2026) This case was a major loss for Trump who had been touting how his tariffs are helping the economy. The Supreme Court didn't see it that way. In fact, the court ruled against Trump and ordered him to pay back refunds from his illegal tariffs. It was a major loss for Trump's illegal agenda.

Currently there are 316 active cases challenging the Trump regime's actions.

I know that at times it seems like Trump is getting away with defying the constitution and state laws. After all his attacks are almost daily and most people don't bother following court cases to their conclusion. 

My goal today is to let everyone know that there is active resistance against Trump. Despite his many efforts to implement an authoritarian regime most of the courts are calling bullshit on him.

As it Stands, the one court that I do worry about is the Supreme Court with its conservative majority, but they have made some positive major rulings recently. And I expect they'll uphold the current law on Birthright Citizenship.
