Bomb Cyclones and A Political Bomb Dominate The News

I know a lot of people are talking about "bomb cyclones" dropping in the eastern part of the nation, but a lot more people (worldwide) are talking about a book bomb titled, "Fire and Fury: Inside The Trump White House."

If you live on this planet, then you know the tell-all book by Michael Wolff, has sent seismic waves throughout the world of politics and the American public.

I hope I'm not understating the damage this book has wrought thus far. It was not just a bomb, it was an atomic bomb.

I wasn't surprised to hear that everyone around Trump knew he was an idiot, and acted like a child. I already knew that much by listening to his tweets last year, like the rest of the world did.

Trump's ego is on life support right now. If there's one thing in the world he gives a damn about it's his image.

Watching the world roar with laughter as all of his closest friends and family's disparaging remarks about him are revealed, must be like pouring pitch on his hairpiece and lighting it!

Wolff, in an exclusive interview on NBC's "Today," said that everyone he spoke to for the book described the president the same way...they all say he is like a child. 

Unfortunately for us all, this dangerous man child can start a nuclear war if he's pushed too hard.

So please, try not to laugh out loud when you read the book.

One Flew Over The White House: How Crazy Is Trump?

It's another first for The Donald.

He's got people in Congress taking about the 25th Amendment.

You know, the amendment that tells you how to take down a president who is off his rocker.

Lawmakers concerned about Trump’s mental state summoned Yale University psychiatry professor Dr. Bandy X. Lee to Capitol Hill last month for two days of briefings about his recent behavior.

In an interview, Lee pointed to Trump “going back to conspiracy theories, denying things he has admitted before, his being drawn to violent videos.”

Lee also warned, “We feel that the rush of tweeting is an indication of his falling apart under stress. Trump is going to get worse and will become uncontainable with the pressures of the presidency.”

Catching the State Department entirely off guard, Trump got into another tweet attack with North Korea this week, taunting Kim with a 5th grade playground my-nuclear-button-is-bigger-than-yours bullshit.

Maryland Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin, has proposed a bill to set up a commission to evaluate the president’s fitness for office.

How far that goes is anyone's guess, but I'd hazard to say it'll fizzle out facing a Republican Congress.

But, you never know.

Trump has got a lot of people worried about his fragile mental state in Washington. A few more taunts against Kim may open a can of worms that calls for some kind of action.

A Case Of Alternate Reality: Trump Attacks The Free Press With Stupid Awards

In the real world, we all know Trump is a first class liar and a disruptor of our freedoms.

We also know Trump is a man child with a bad attitude. Look no further than his dangerous game with North Korea. Tweeting about the size of his nuclear button was akin to comparing dick size with Kim. 

Trump is all about size. He's constantly defending his tiny hands.

To prove how childish he can be Trump tweeted this Wednesday:

"I will be announcing THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR on Monday at 5:00 o’clock. Subjects will cover Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media. Stay tuned!"

Trump has done his best to flip reality and stifle the truth whenever an opportunity has presented itself. Like this stupid awards thing.

It's just a gift to his base for believing his lies.

While Trump's minions laugh and applaud his childish contest, the rest of the country is hunkering down for a nuclear war.

A sitting president is not only denying reality...he's mocking it.

Trump's Art of Taking Credit For Things He Didn't Do

In the course of my life I've seen a lot of people taking credit for things they didn't do.

Usually the claims were about small things in life - like when an office manager took credit for work that others did.

However, I never considered this bad habit could be taken to an art form until Trump bumbled into the Oval Office.

Trump's reputation for lying - with 1628 documented lies last year alone - is only exceeding by his ability to exaggerate like a modern day P.T. Barnum.

To launch the new year with style, Trump tweeted:

"Since taking office I have been very strict on Commercial Aviation. Good news - it was just reported that there were Zero deaths in 2017, the best and safest year on record!"

I, and experts in commercial aviation, call bullshit on that ridiculous claim.

Here's the deal:

The Aviation Safety Network, a group based in the Netherlands, noted that it was a record year worldwide for safe commercial airline travel.

The reason why was it was the first year there were less than 100 deaths for the first time since 1946. Quite an accomplishment.

Meanwhile, back in the USA, safety experts say that the lack of fatal crashes this year in America was the result of years of effort to improve technology and training.

Trump didn't sign one piece of paper about airline safety, or new rules. That's a fact that can be checked by anyone.

Despite that, it didn't bother the Liar-In-Chief who would take credit for the sun coming up in the morning if he could get away with it. That day may not be too far off for the puppets that support him.

Once again he took credit for something he had no part in without blushing, or even batting an eyelid.

His blindly loyal base will never fact check it, and he knows it. As for the rest of the world...we'll shake our heads in disgust and pray that Trump gets lockjaw someday.

Without a doubt, Trump's ability to take credit for things he didn't do will become an art form to be copied by his mindless minions in the years ahead.

Study Says North Carolina Not A Functioning Democracy

Andrew Reynolds, who has monitored elections across the world, recently exposed what's happening in North Carolina, and it's not pretty.

In 2012, Reynolds, and his Danish co-worker, Jorgen Elklit, developed a road map for evaluating democracies throughout the world.

They called it the Electoral Integrity Project (EIP). Since then they have evaluated 213 elections in 153 countries. 

Reynolds, born in North Carolina, was surprised to see the most recent report released by the EIP stating, "The state can no longer be considered a fully functioning democracy."

In the report, North Carolina's overall electoral integrity score of 58/100 placed it alongside authoritarian and pseudo-democracies like Cuba, Sierra Leone, and Indonesia.

The state did so bad on legal framework and voter registration that it ranked with Iran and Venezuela! 

Here's the kicker, not only is North Carolina the worst state in America for unfair districting, but the worse entity in the world ever analyzed by the EIP.

Wow!

The report concluded that the local government has become arbitrary and detached from popular will, and that the GOP is guilty of ignoring democratic principals in voter registration, poll culling, gerrymandering and all of the other methods of ensuring electoral results in their own favor.

The Republican party was well on it's way to eliminating fair elections before Trump slithered into office. His presidency however, has been a boon for the alt-right and corrupt Republicans.

Nowhere To Hide in 2018: Words Out - 'Emperor Donny' Has No Clothes On!

There's nothing like a good cup of coffee after celebrating New Year's.

For some, like me, that coffee is a necessity. Without that caffeine blast I'd be like a zombie the rest of the day.

Today's topic:

For most of last year congressional Republicans tried to pretend Trump wasn't an egotistical, racist maniac with dementia.

By year's end the GOP was divided after Trump revealed the true depths of his depravity by trying to destroy our democracy in 12 months.

As far as the rest of America...the majority was able to see that besides having small hands, Trump also has a very small dick.

In the waning six days of 2017, Trump played golf and sent out nasty tweets to the world. Of course, when Trump found out he was being filmed golfing he took steps to stop that.

It was a moment of glaring truth when a Trumpie pulled up in a van to block the news crews from recording the Liar-In-Chief on the links.

Guilt for claiming Obama played too much golf? I highly doubt that. The man is shameless. He just doesn't want his base to catch him flat-out lying about what he's been telling them.

To assure future news crews that there would no longer be good views, a crew came in and planted fully grown trees in all the gaps that allowed for a view of Trump's golf course.

I wonder how many Trump supporters were aware of it? Just guessing, but I suspect very few, as they enjoy their fake news like Fox & Friends, or at Brietbart News, who wouldn't cover anything remotely negative about their master.

But the overall revelation by our intelligence communities that Russia interfered with the 2016 election, and did what it could to help Trump win, was the real eye-opener.

That, followed by a conspiracy between Trump and his campaign staff and Russia, which is still rolling out like a serial drama.

While Mueller's special investigation continues to connect the dots, the evidence piles up for a case of obstruction of justice on Donny's part.

It looks a lot like Trump's not going to have anywhere to hide - with the exception of his golf courses - in 2018.

Forget About Resolutions: Here's 7 New Year's Wishes

I'm going to start the New Year off right by not making resolutions that I'll break before January is over.

Instead, I'm going to share my wishes for what I hope will happen in 2018.

* Trump gets impeached.

* An Obstruction of Justice conviction against Trump that results in getting him booted out of the Oval Office.  

* Robert Mueller's investigation into the Trump campaigns cooperation with Russia comes to a head with multiple convictions, starting with Don Jr. and Jared Kushner.

* The Democrats take control of Congress in the November elections.

* Trump has to go to trial over the defamation lawsuit filed by Summer Zervos. When she reported unwanted sexual contact last year, Trump called her a liar. My wish is for the court to convict Trump.

* I wish the Republican Party in Congress would grow spines and stand up to Trumpolini.

* Awareness would finally come to Trump supporters after they realize he screwed them.

Goodbye To The Last Saturday of 2017

Good Day World!

We've experienced 51 Saturdays in 2017. Today is number 52.

I'm neither sad, nor glad. Maybe when tomorrow rolls around - the last day of the year - I'll feel something about the last 364 days.

Right now, I'm numb.

I'm 67 years-old, and have never seen a year that brought worse change to America than this one under Trump's regime.

It was like a political Pandora's Box opened and spewed out all of its vile contents; waging war on society.

War on morality. War upon minorities. War on immigrants. War on the LGBT community. War on the poor.

Having an illegitimate president who was aided by the Russians, has demoralized two-thirds of the country. Trump's approval rating is the lowest of any president since such polls were first taken in 1952.

On this last Saturday, I feel more like a survivor than anything else. I've witnessed with disgust, the rise of neo Nazi's and the KKK, and how our Disruptor-In-Charge has encouraged the so-called alt-right in America.

I'm tired of hearing the president of the United States lying every day. I still can't believe Trump's assault on all of our international allies.

Tomorrow, along with you, I'll celebrate the passage of this year, and hold high hopes for the next!

Trumps 'Records' Are All In His Head

The most recent case of Trump lying about the supposed "records" he's broken in his first year happened Wednesday, when he visited some Florida firefighters.

 He spent the brief visit bragging about his supposed accomplishments.

The whopper-for-the-day came when he claimed he helped pass and sign more laws than any of his predecessors during their first year in office.

Pause: Trump loves captive audiences.

Fact: Every president since Eisenhower (who signed the most laws) signed more laws than Trump in their first year. He comes in dead last, but he didn't let that bother him yesterday.

As usual, Trump makes up his own realities and expects people to go along with them. I wonder what those hard working men and women thought about his ego-driven visit?

How many of those firefighters knew he was lying but had to stand there and clap?

This revision in history was closely followed by Trump's biggest whopper of the year - his Tax Scam. Or, as financial experts call it, the huge boon to the wealthy and corporations.

He's been outright lying to the public ("This tax reform is not going to be good for me, or my friends") about what provisions the bill really held.

To put the cherry on the cake, Trump claims it's the biggest tax cut in history. 

That's bullshit. It's another record only existing in his tiny brain. For the real record:

Obama passed a larger tax cut - by making most of President George W. Bush's cuts permanent.

President Reagan definitely did.

And, Presidents Kennedy and Johnson did too.

Trump's disconnect with truth and reality is moving us towards a Constitutional crisis. Tweet by tweet. Lie by lie.

Realities Rout Trump's Dream of Being Popular

Trump's fragile ego has taken a beating this year.

The final blow to Donny's ego happened yesterday when he saw the results of the annual Gallup Poll on "Who Is The Most Admired Man in America."

The answer was...Barack Obama (10th year in a row)! I imagine Donny's face went from orange to beet red when he saw that.

Trump is set to finish 2017 with the lowest approval rating of any modern president at this stage of his first term, according to a recent CNN poll.

Trump's penchant for lying, and doubling down on lies, is no secret to anyone. We've never had a president who publicly lied everyday he was in office before.

Only 37 percent of Americans think he's doing a good job. That's worse than Ronald Reagan's last year in office, and is the lowest since Gallup started polling issues in 1952.

Since Jan. 20, when Trump was inaugurated, his disapproval rating skyrocketed, from 44.2% to 56.3% in the.RealClearPolitics average.

And the big policy win Trump is touting from his first year in office, the GOP tax plan, is extremely unpopular. Just 26% of voters approve of the tax bill, according to the latest Quinnipiac poll, released Dec. 13.

Some more reasons why Donny's ascension to the Oval Office has been a disaster so far:

* Puerto Rico was abandoned by Trump who treated it's residents like second-class Americans.

* Trump tried to get rid of Obamacare and almost succeeded when he added an amendment to his Tax Scam to get rid of the enrollment mandate.

* The rise of hate in our national dialogue and the so-called alt-right (Neo Nazis, KKK, etc.) movement was encouraged by Trump, who invigorated their cause by standing up for them during the Charlottesville, Virginia, hate rally.

* Trump has managed to alienate America from the rest of the world in one short year. It started with dropping out of the Paris Climate Control Accord signed by the rest of the world.

He followed that up by declaring Jerusalem the capital of Israel...a move that brought the entire United Nations against America. After being opposed, Trump threatened to keep a list and to retaliate.

There's so many more reasons why Donny is loathed in America that I could share but you got the point. I'm sure you probably could think of some too.
