Memo To Trump: Shutting the Government Down is Putting America Last!

Our cheeto-faced Liar-in-Chief thinks it would be a good idea to shut the government down and to change all the rules.

Really.

Once again he's demonstrating his complete lack of leadership and knowledge about how the government works.

And get this; Lump says he wants a shutdown so he can "fix" Senate rules that require him to negotiate with Democrats.

Donny's attempts to work around the Constitution have been constant during his first 100 days.

By using his normal managerial style - bullying and threatening - he thinks he can control Congress. It's no wonder that the Republican Party is in shambles.

Chump was on the twitter train two days ago and said;

"Either elect more Republican Senators in 2018 or change the rules now to 51% (regarding Senate majority rules). Our country needs a good "shutdown" in September to fix mess!"

A good shut down? There's no such thing, but Donny Little Hands enjoys threatening people to get his way.

Republican Senator, Adam Schiff, replied to Dump's tweet the same day:

"How could a shutdown be good, with parks closed, gov't services unavailable and people furloughed? Answer: Golf at Mar-a-lago unaffected."

Schiff has a good point. 

Rump would like nothing better than taking more time off the job to go golfing all day at Mar-A-Lago after discovering the job turned out to be tougher - and more complicated - than he expected.

Perhaps that's what this shutdown business is all about. Dumb Dumb wants to play now, he's tired of trying to be an adult.

Bullying Congress, or taking vacation time. It's either or, or both.

In either case, Don the Con, is putting America last...and himself first. Again.

Now Chump Wants To Change the Rules in Congress in a Naked Power Grab

It didn't take long. 

It only took 100 days before Trump dropped all pretenses of being a people's president, and started making naked power grabs.

Chump is tired of losing them thus far. This wasn't supposed to happen. Too much opposition. 

Remember when senior policy adviser Stephen Miller declared “the powers of the president to protect our country
are very substantial and will not be questioned?

This attitude was apparent the day he got elected. He was sure that as president he could do anything he wanted. That there would be no obstacles to his agenda.

It seems just like yesterday when Chump decried President Obama's executive orders, suggesting they were an indication of a weak leader who couldn't bend Congress to his will.

Trump is now admitting that he can't bend Congress to his will, but he blames the system rather than himself. 

In his two terms, President Barack Obama issued 277 executive orders, a total number on par with his modern predecessors, but the lowest per year average (35) in 120 years.

Trump, so far, has signed 30 executive orders in 99 days. Just another flip flop for his corrupt regime.

Whether Dump targets the filibuster specifically or not, his attitude toward his own power is clear: The more, the better.

He's already gotten a taste for rolling back the filibuster, and after just 100 days of frustration, he wants more. 

Now Rump is claiming the rules of the House and the Senate are "archaic" and need to be streamlined for the good of the country (translated: to further Stump's goals).

In other words, just throw out the Constitution, which Donny Little Hands has never read. He wants a clear path to power and by changing Senate laws he sees how his agenda can go unopposed. 

If he pulls off a change like he's threatening to, it would be the end of democracy because the very foundations of the sacred document we call the Constitution will have been torn down.

And just like that, we would have a dictator. Just like the one's he's been admiring around the world: 
Vladimir Putin. Kim-Jong-Un. Rodrigo Duterte. Tayyip Erdogan and Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

A real rogue's lineup. And good company for Trump once he assumes complete power by destroying our democracy.

Panic Sets In As Comedians Realize Trump Routines Won't Go On Forever

I read an article in The Washington Post yesterday  that suggested the Trump-inspired comedy bubble is about to burst.

I agree with the contention that teasing the same clown becomes monotonous at some point - can you imagine another 1000 days of Trumpisms?

I go one step further than this well-written premise by the Post's Hank Stuever however. 

There will be nothing to laugh at because Americans will be too terrified to laugh any more. Trump's clown makeup is nearly melted off.

The authoritarian asshole is almost fully emerged, as he tries to bully Congress, all 18 national security agencies, and our court systems. 

And of course, the media.

There's nothing funny about war.

Nothing funny about sending your children overseas to risk their lives when Trump may be using them as a diversion from his own corrupt administration.

Nothing funny about losing health care so Trump can claim some hollow victory.

Nothing funny about picking fights that may end up in a nuclear holocaust because of a thin-skinned president.

Nothing funny about Trump saying he would be "honored" to meet with North Korea's dictator in an interview yesterday.

As the era of Trump sinks in, Americans won't keep laughing at his lack of ethics - both business and moral - or that he's got an orange face from daily exposure to artificial sunlight.

The majority of the country will be trying to survive as corporations thrive.

Survival isn't funny.

As each agonizing day of Trump's regime rolls back environmental safety standards, or goes after minority immigrants like badgers, there will be no one smiling...

except Trump.

Trump's 100th Day: Americans Are Marching in Protest...Again

It's our first illegitimate president's 100th day in office.
(Out-of-tune trumpets can be heard blaring in the background)

Another march.

Another slam against Trump and his minions policies.

The People's Climate Movement March is taking place on the mall, beginning near the Capitol and ending near the Washington Monument.

This won't be the last March against Chump. Dozens are being planned for this year alone. 

America's resistance against the Mango Mussolini demonstrates how unpopular he is. 

I wonder how his core supporters are taking the news that he hasn't accomplished any of his first 100 day promises? The one notable exception was the appointment of a supreme court judge that took the nuclear option to confirm.

It's apparent Stump's rhetoric doesn't match the reality of what's happened. He's the most unpopular president in modern times.

Forty-two percent of Americans say they approve of Trump's performance as president, while 53 percent say they disapprove.

Eight years ago, Trump's predecessor, Barack Obama, had an approval rating of 69 percent, with 26 disapproving.

Fact: Chump's core supporters (the one's who wouldn't say anything if he publicly murdered someone) are a minority. All the polls show that.

We must not forget he lost the popular vote by over 3 million people. 

We must not forget Russia helped Hump's campaign.

Today Americans march against Hump's denial of climate change and the rape of the EPA. Tomorrow it will be against another of his vile policies.

Until Bump gets impeached, the marches will continue.

How The Russian Mafia Were Discovered Living In Trump Tower

Let's go back to 2011, years before Trump announced his presidential campaign.

The FBI was granted a court-approved warrant to monitor mafia members running what prosecutors described as an "international money-laundering, sports gambling and extortion ring in Trump Tower," according to an ABC news report. 

In 2013 when the FBI finally raided the Russians on the 63rd floor, over 30 people were arrested. One of the occupants, a mafia crime boss, Alimzhan Tokhtahounov, managed to escape.

Seven months after Tokhahounov's escape he turned up on November 9 in the VIP section of the Miss Universe competition in Moscow.

The owner of the pageant, Donald Trump, had tweeted: 

"Do you think Putin will be going to The Miss Universe Pageant in Moscow - if so, will he become my new best friend?"

There's no evidence the two met however. Having said that on May 6, Fox News asked Trump whether he had met with Putin while there?

He declined to say, though he added: "I got to meet a lot of people." 

During this time Trump's relationship with Aras Agalarov, a billionaire Russian real estate mogul with ties to Putin, was growing.

Agalarov even got Trump to appear in one of the music videos his fame-seeking son Emin was making.

Emin Agalarov’s connection to Donald Trump runs through a beauty queen. 

In 2013 Emin filmed the video for his single “Amor,” in which the young singer pursues Miss Universe 2012, Olivia Culpo, through darkened city streets with a flashlight. 

Miss Universe representatives later came to Moscow with Culpo to meet with the Agalarovs, and subsequently introduced the Russians to Trump.

“I have always been interested in building in Russia,” he told the New York Post just after his return from Moscow. He also boasted upon his return from the pageant that he met with “almost all of the oligarchs there.”

He seemed to have forgotten that he put Tokhtahounov in the VIP section, and visited with him.

I could go on, but I think the case is made for dubious connections with Russian crooks and their government. In the following years, and when he campaigned, Trump continually praised Putin.

Trump was right about one thing, the FBI did bug Trump Tower, because international criminals were living there. Did Trump staffers get caught up in the surveillance?

Hopefully, one of the four committees looking into this whole mess will turn up the truth.

Trump's one-man assault against our Constitution continues to alarm law experts as more evidence mounts against his violations.

Since Day One we've heard about concerns over Don the Con's violation of the "foreign emoluments clause" in the Constitution.

Chump however is doubling down with the so-called "domestic emoluments clause." 

Now we find out that he's making money from seven states!

That puts Rump in clear violation of Article II of the U.S. Constitution which prohibits the president from receiving additional payments beyond his salary from state governments.

This clause and a “foreign emoluments clause” prohibiting similar payments from foreign governments have been thrust to the fore because of Dump's vast, complicated network of businesses, which ethics experts say has created unprecedented conflicts of interest.

The most unpopular president in modern times didn't set his lust for money aside when he got elected. Instead, he's been enhancing his brand - see Mar-A-Lago. 

It doesn't end there. Hump's tax proposal to cut corporate taxes from 35% to 15% will increase his already considerable wealth. It would be the biggest boost to the wealthy in over 150 years.

It's a sad day when some Americans turn their backs on these facts.

Closed eyes will never see the truth.

Partisanship poison always pollutes the thinking process.

What Are The Chances Melania Stays At Trump Tower Throughout Donny's Term?

"What would happen if the first lady didn't want to live in the White House?" my wife asked one day.

The question set me back for a moment. 

It's not something I previously considered. Was it crazy of her to even suggest such a thing?

"I don't know dear, " I replied, "but I'll look into it."

After researching Melania Trump's background, I have to say it's not such a crazy reach to suggest she might not move into that White House on Pennsylvania Avenue.

I'm not predicting that will happen. Just saying. Here's why:

She's never made it a secret that she's totally dedicated to a lavish lifestyle, and unlike many of her wealthy associates, she's never had a favorite charity.

A profile of First Lady Melania Trump in Vanity Fair magazine paints the former model as bored and disinterested with the duties of First Lady and sources close to Mrs. Trump say that she has been dragged along behind her husband’s political ambitions against her will.

The article describes a woman who didn't want her husband to be the next president of the United States. Instead, she wanted to continue her insular lifestyle and not worry about other people.

Fact: Over the course of Trump’s 17-month campaign, she rarely joined her husband at rallies, and the speeches she gave could be counted on one hand.

I was surprised to see her stay at Trump Tower after her hubby became Commander-In-Chief.

The excuse about keeping Barron in school sounded weak, and left a lot of people wondering just how much support Melania is really going to give Chump in the future.

Some feminists are crossing their fingers that Melania decides to dump Trump while he's in office. 

However unlikely that may be, it's one female fantasy circulating the web.

Of course, we're living in strange times.

We have the worst president to ever set foot inside the Oval Office.
His lies and childish temperament are taking us to the brink of war with North Korea.
Rump and his campaign staff are currently being investigated by four committees for colluding with the Russians during the election.

In summary, I wouldn't be shocked if Melania decided to stay at Trump Tower throughout his term. I know one thing, this daughter of a Communist Party Member is not interested in being a traditional First Lady.

If Our War Tech Is 5 Times Better Than Any Other Country, Why The 'Yuge' Defense Budget Request?

It was a thrilling moment for five-time draft dodger, Don the Con.

His stubby little fingers fluttered as he watched those picturesque Tomahawk cruise missiles whoosh from the decks of U.S. destroyers in the eastern Mediterranean, towards an airbase in Syria.

It was the most impressive display of fireworks Chump had ever seen, and his excitement was palpable as he told reporters afterward,

“We've just fired 59 missiles,” he said, “all of which hit, by the way, unbelievable, from, you know, hundreds of miles away, all of which hit, amazing... It's so incredible.  It's brilliant.  It's genius.  

Our technology, our equipment, is better than anybody by a factor of five.”

Okay. Let's stop right here.

If our war machine is so much more advanced than the rest of the world, why do we need to spend over half of our nation's budget on it, as per Chump's new budget proposal?

Logically, it looks like someone's preparing for war. Or, wars.
Logically, this growing militarization has a destination. An agenda.

Setting logic aside for a moment, Rump will do anything to change current narratives going against him like the ongoing investigations about Russia and his campaigns connections.

Who knows what will happen when criminal indictments start getting handed down? What canaries will sing? And what would Dump do to take everyone's attention off these damning confessions?

Starting a war to deflect the narrative is not beyond him.

That same six-year old kid clapping his hands at the sight of those pretty Tomahawk cruise missiles would love to see some more "yuge" fireworks going off at his command.

As for his admission that our military is the best in the world, it doesn't detract him from claiming we need to devote a majority of our national budget to further boost it.

The amazing thing is despite flip-flopping more than a fish out of water on hot pavement, Hump manages to get away with it. Just like his lies.

Washington Swamp Thriving Under Toxic Trump Administration

The swamp in Washington, that Trump claimed he was going to drain, is crowded with new players.

The waters are murkier - and more dangerous - now than ever before with the new arrivals.

New lobbyists, riding on Trump's coat-tails, are slithering in at an alarming rate. The fetid waters do not bode well for the average American.

A recent analysis by USA Today reported that former campaign aides, fundraisers and others with ties to Chump and Pence, have attracted dozens of new lobbying clients in Washington; raking in more than $2.2 million in lobbying fees in the first months of the new regime.

When questioned about the newly added pollution to the swamp the White House released a statement that said, "There is no legal restriction on former campaign aides having positive relationships inside and outside the White House."

Wow! Some of us knew that payoffs would be coming if Hump got elected. Those that voted for him because they thought that swamp would be drained, are grinding their teeth and trying to smile.   

Avenue Strategies, a lobbying and consulting start up by Corey Lewandowski, who was Dump's first campaign manager, is one example.

Forget about the fact that Strump had to fire Lewandowski because of his connections to Russia were hurting his chances of getting elected.

They stayed buddies.  

Lewandoski recently bragged online about what a good time he had with Rump.

He tweeted a picture from the White House South Lawn and said, "Great time at the WH today with @realDonaldTrump and the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots."

Perhaps the most sickening aspect to this complete reversal of what he told his followers, is his blatant assault on ethics since Day One of his regime.

His contempt for current laws and attacks against our judiciary system, is helping to stock the swamp with even more dangerous predators of our rights.

Trump Sends Stark Message To Congress and Americans: 'Either I get What I Want, Or Working Poor Pay The Price'

It's bribery. 

As Americans watch helplessly, their first illegitimate president is threatening to suspend crucial subsidies in Obamacare for the working poor if he doesn't get what he wants.

That means if he can't get the funding for his infamous wall, more immigration officers, and defense, Donny Little Hands will take his ball and go home.

Without those subsidies thousands of families won't be able to see a doctor, fill a prescription, or go to the hospital.

 But that doesn't mean shit to Dump whose motto is, "My way, or the highway."

By taking the cost-sharing subsidies hostage, Chump is threatening millions of Americans to achieve his hateful agenda.

It's simple: either obey the law, or repeal it. 

We saw how the House appeal process went...straight down the toilet. 

So Congress decided to ignore the current law, declining to appropriate money specifically for cost-sharing subsidies.

All of which dovetails nicely into Hump's agenda and threats to get his way. 

We must not lose sight of those Congressman willing to go to the gates of hell with their master. And when the time comes to vote hold them accountable.

This is just another stark message for those who voted for him, and even for those who didn't. Our Narcissistic President is willing to do anything - let me repeat that...anything, to get his way.
