Mental Health Professionals Breaking 'Goldwater Rule' To Warn Public About Trump

Good Day World!

I was thinking about a Republican presidential candidate - not named Trump - who was seen as "too emotionally unstable" by millions of Americans.

Unlike Trump, this candidate wasn't able to survive the crazy label and get elected.

It happened back in 1964 when opponents of Republican candidate Barry Goldwater mocked his slogan, "In Your Heart You Know He's Right," with a slogan of their own, "In your guts You Know He's Nuts."

It didn't just stop there.

A magazine called Fact published a poll of 2,417 psychiatrists who said that Goldwater was "psychologically unfit" to be president. Straight up.

Sound familiar?

Numerous major news outlets have run columns, new stories, and broadcast segments interviewing psychiatrists and other mental health professionals who raise questions about Trump’s emotional health, sanity, and fitness to serve as president.

The Opinion of Leading Psychologists is That Trump is Mentally Deranged

In addition to that 1964 poll, the magazine did a survey of 38 psychiatrists' and their comments included calling Goldwater a dangerous lunatic, "paranoid" and "emotionally unstable," as well as saying that he had an "impulsive quality" and a "Godlike Self-Image."

As Trump continues to show the world how thin-skinned he is via ridiculous tweets that do everything from violate national policies, to outright lying about Obama wiretapping Trump Tower, you have to wonder how the guy got elected in the first place.

Despite an almost universal agreement not to weigh in on presidential politics - the Goldwater Rule - mental health professionals have decided to speak out and share their concerns.

Americans may have dodged a bullet when Barry Goldwater was declared "a nut," but unfortunately a real nut got elected this time around.

Gray Cloud Turning Black: Civilian Lawsuits Following Trump To The White House

Good Day World!

A Republican senator recently bemoaned there was a "gray cloud over this administration's head," during the first meeting of a House Congressional inquiry into connections between Trump's campaign and the Russians.

That gray cloud is turning black after a USA Today investigative report that found 75 pending civilian lawsuits facing the Gropper-In-Chief.

Chump claimed that as president he should be immune from defamation lawsuits but that's not the way the Supreme Court sees it.

The issue was taken up in Clinton v. Jones and determined unanimously that no man is above the law and that includes the president of the United States.

Summer Zervos, a former contestant from The Apprentice, sued Stump in New York on Jan. 17, just days before his inauguration.

Hump's best lawyers tried to invoke the Supremacy Clause that immunizes the president from being sued in state court while in office.

No one bought that argument

Legal scholars have been warning all along that Rump brings a pile of garbage with him to the presidency that's going to stink up his administration.

“Because of the Supreme Court case related to Bill Clinton, there’s no automatic shield for the president from civil action,” Samuel Issacharoff, a law professor at New York University told USA TODAY.

You might say Lump has a track record that make his legal eagles seem like skilled horse handicappers after litigating over 4,000 cases in forty years.

Can American Taxpayers Afford Trump?

                                             Good Day World!

It wasn't that long ago.

Oct. 13th, 2014
Citizen Trump saidCan you believe that, with all of the problems and difficulties facing the U.S., President Obama spent the day playing golf.” Mr. Trump tweeted on Oct. 13, 2014. “Worse than Carter.”

Throughout Chump's campaign he ranted about how much President Obama spent on travel and golfing:

Fact: It cost $12 million for Obama travel (and golfing) in one year.

Fact: Hump has already spent $12 million in just his first 50 days of leisure golf and travel to his Florida commercial property Mar-A-Lago also "Dubbed the Winter White House."

But not a peep out of the Republicans. The silence is deafening and proof that the GOP fears The Donald and are afraid to hold him accountable for anything.

However, that doesn't go for a government watchdog group - the Government Accountability Office (GAO) - who told lawmakers that they would look into the security costs associated with Stump's routine visits to his private property in Florida.

Meanwhile, the GAO is trying to figure out if the United States Treasury has received payments for profits Frump has made from foreign governments visiting his hotels.

You may remember Lump claimed he was giving the profits from his hotels - especially the new one across from the White House - to the U.S. Treasury.

The Secret Service is asking for an additional $60 million for security because Lump has already eaten deeply into the current budget.

The bigly question is: Can American taxpayers afford to pay for Donny Little Hands golfing, travel to his private property every weekend, and outrageous family expenses?

Psssttttttt...It took 100 Secret Service agents to watch a few members of the Trump clan ski in Aspen last weekend.

It's Official: The Race To Plunder Natural Resources Without Restrictions Is Given A Green Light

Good Day World!

There was a gathering of rich white men witnessing Trump disable another part of America's safety infrastructure yesterday.

With them stood six coal miners looking awkwardly on. The Plunderer-In-Chief then gave one of them an ink pen - not the one that actually signed the document.

It was a done deal. Chump trashed all regulations and made it possible for corporations to go back to impudently polluting our nation's environment in the name of "good business."

By signing another boneheaded executive order, Stump has opened the doors to a nationwide push to plunder our natural resources.

The so-called "Energy Independence" order will also reverse a ban on coal leasing on federal lands, undo rules to curb methane emissions from oil and gas production, and reduce the weight of climate change and carbon emissions in policy and infrastructure permitting decisions.

Here's the thing, an overwhelming majority of scientists believe that human use of oil and coal for energy is the main driver of climate change, causing a damaging rise in sea levels, droughts, and more frequent violent storms.

That puke Rump appointed to carry out this attack on our environment, EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, claims more jobs will be provided while still "protecting the environment."

Anyone who believes that also probably believes Obama tapped Trump Tower and Senator Ted Cruz's father was in on the plot to kill JFK.

In other words, a trumpanzee.

Supporters of our environment don't plan on letting Don the Con stomp all over them. There will be resistance to this assault on our natural resources.

Industry experts say trying to make fossil fuels remain competitive in the face of a booming clean renewable power sector, with the clean air and plentiful jobs it continues to generate, is going against the flow of economics.

Solar energy has surpassed all other forms of electrical generation and employs more people according to the Energy Department.

Wind and solar are proving to be what we needed to reverse pollution and maintain liveable air quality.

We’re already well into a new era. But many new regulators and policymakers under the Thump regime aren't acting like it.

Personal Bunkers Resurgence Related To Trump's America

Good Day World!

Step right up...er...right down the stairs to the bunker of your choice.

They selling like hotcakes these days.

Trump's chaotic presidency has already spurred Americans to look for shelter more secure than their homes.

A Texas businessman whose trade is in survival says the Trump administration has been a boon to his bottom line. Clyde Scott of Rising S Company in Texas says orders for survival shelters have doubled amid political uncertainty.

"The biggest complaints from my customers are — one, Trump and his administration can't deal with facts," he told NBC News.

"Second, because of that — the travel ban — and the lack of cooperation in other countries, we're not able to get intelligence we need to protect the country. Because of those two things, potential for war has increased many fold."

I was 12-years old when the Cuban Missile Crisis (October 1962) happened. I remember going with my Dad to a supermarket to stock up on food.

People were panic shopping. Aisles were full of concerned people expecting the worst. For 13 days I waited, along with the rest of the country, to see if a nuclear war was going to happen.

Thankfully, it didn't.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying we're at the stage where a majority of Americans are worried enough to invest in bunkers.

What I am saying is that this uptick in the bunker business is the canary in the goldmine.

Chump hasn't been in office a 100 days yet and the chaos he's created has not only shaken a lot of American's confidence, but also the world's confidence in our government.

Of course, if you're a Trumpanzee you see this surge in the bunker business as a step towards making America Great Again!

Trump's Pledge Pedigree: Don't Hold Your Breath for The Money

Good Day World!

Morning refresher: when you pledge to give money it's assumed you'll deliver on your promise.

Will someone tell that clown in the Oval Office to put up or shut up?

Last month, White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders told the website Politifact that Trump "will be giving" his salary "back to Treasury or donating."

The site noted the White House "declined to answer several inquiries into whether Trump has gotten a paycheck already."

When they finally did admit he's collected a couple of paychecks they said he'd donate his whole salary at the end of the year.

I hope no one hold's their breath on that one.

Why do I have the feeling the American public is being conned once again?

What do you think the chances are that we'll ever know if Stump screwed us?

During the transition, Chump also unveiled a plan to "donate all profits from foreign governments' patronage of his hotels and similar businesses" to the Treasury Department.

The plan was released by Lump's private law firm, Morgan Lewis, but no system or accounting has been released for how or when such donations will be processed or disclosed.

And don't expect one soon. Thump and cronies will be throwing out so much news flack that no one will have time to really investigate if he is pocketing that money.

The chance that the Treasury Department will ever get a dollar of Rump's money is about as slim as a snake willingly going on a starvation diet.

No Coincidence Trump's Budget Was Released on the Anniversary of the My Lai Massacre

Good Day World!

Someone in the White House believes in symbolism and used it to send a message when Trump released his budget on the anniversary of the My Lai Massacre.

U.S. militarism is taken for granted, and Chump is in lock-step with the War Machine, aka the Military Industrial Complex. Motto: War is a means to make money.

Hump didn't come into office to challenge the necessity of dirty little wars and "actions" globally. He had no intention of upsetting the applecart after 40 years of no challenges to the corrupt system.

Author, "Maya Schenwar writes at Truthout, "The way in which U.S. militarism is taken for granted mirrors the ways in which other forms of mass violence are deemed inevitable -- policing, deportation, the genocide and erasure of Indigenous peoples, the exploitative market-driven health care system, the vastly inequitable education system and disastrous environmental policies.

The generally accepted logic tells us that these things will remain with us: The best we can hope for, according to this narrative, is modest reform amid monstrous violence.

The corporate media grants legitimacy to state violence more by what it doesn't say than by what it does. Bombed mosques simply disappear from the news and, voila, they never happened. Liars had a global forum to promote the invasion of Iraq, while those who questioned it had to loose their outrage from street corners. "Collateral damage" is a linguistic blur, a magician's cape, hiding mass murder."

A look at Rump's proposed budget, where military spending gets a huge increase ($52 billion) at the expense of numerous domestic programs for Americans, seals the deal between him and the American War Machine.
